Weight-Bearing CT International Study Group hosts Scientific Session at EFAS International Congress

WBCT

The Weight-Bearing CT International Study Group will host a scientific session to promote the benefits of 3D weight-bearing extremity imaging in conjunction with the 12th annual European Foot and Ankle Society (EFAS) conference taking place from 4–6 October in Geneva, Switzerland. The scientific session is jointly sponsored by Planmed, Carestream and CurveBeam.

The meeting takes place on October 5 from 12:30 to 2:00 pm in the Roma Meeting Room at the Starling Geneva Hotel and Conference Centre. Interested attendees can register for the scientific session on www.wbctstudygroup.com

The scientific session is moderated by Dr. Francois Lintz, MD, and the topics are:

Dr. Martinus Richter, MD, PhD: "Results of a 5 year, 10,000 scans experience with WBCT. Impact on costs, radiation exposure and time spent"

Dr. Shadpour Demeri, MD: "Advanced imaging of syndesmotic injuries: where are we now and what can we do with weight bearing CT"

Dr. Sorin Siegler, PhD: "The use of distance mapping in combination with WBCT"

Dr. Andrew Goldberg, MD: "Centre of rotation of the subtalar joint novel research in the use of WBCT to assess dynamic function"

Dr. Kris Buedts, MD: "Deformity corrections and 3D planning based on the WBCT"

Dr. Oliver Michelsson, MD: "Use of low dose WBCT in cartilage and bony lesions of the ankle"

Dr. Arne Burssens, MD: "Three-dimensional modeling of the weight bearing ankle syndesmosis"

Planmed is presenting Planmed Verity, the original weight-bearing CT scanner at the EFAS exhibition. Come and meet us at the Planmed booth #39 to discuss the latest innovations in CBCT imaging!
