In einer Forschungskooperation zwischen dem Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, Massachusetts, USA) und der finnischen Planmed Oy soll der Nutzen und Wert der 3D-Bildgebung mit CBCT-Technologie für die Darstellung der Extremitäten untersucht werden. Der Planmed Verity® Gliedmaßen-Scanner wurde im Februar im Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston installiert. Ziel des Forschungsprojekts ist es, die praktische Eignung des Geräts für verschiedene Anwendungsfälle zu prüfen. Zusätzlich werden dabei die Bildqualität, Dauer der Untersuchung und diagnostische Präzision des neuen Geräts im Vergleich zum herkömmlichen CT bewertet.

Der Planmed Verity® Gliedmaßen-Scanner wird mit der begehrten Goldmedaille der Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) 2012 ausgezeichnet und zusätzlich zum besten Produkt des Wettbewerbs gewählt. Der MDEA ist die angesehenste Preisverleihung in der Fachwelt der Medizintechnik.

Planmed Verity beeindruckte die internationale 30-köpfige Expertenjury des red dot award: product design 2012. Hersteller aus aller Welt hatten insgesamt 4.515 Designs zu dem renommierten Produktwettbewerb eingereicht. Mit seiner hohen Gestaltungsqualität konnte Planmed Verity die Fachleute begeistern und erhielt der Produktgattung Life Science und Medizin den weltweit begehrten red dot.

Planmed Verity, der neue, mobile Gliedmaßen-Scanner für die orthopädische Bildgebung der Gliedmaßen, hat das CE-Prüfzeichen erhalten und ist damit nun in der gesamten EU erhältlich, ebenso in zahlreichen weiteren Ländern, in denen das CE-Zeichen Voraussetzung für den Marktzutritt ist.

FDA-Zulassung für das digitale Vollfeld-Mammografiesystem (FFDM) Planmed Nuance Excel

Am 23. September 2011 hat die US-amerikanische Aufsichtsbehörde FDA (Food and Drug Administration) die Freigabe nach 510(k) für das digitale Vollfeld-Mammographie-Röntgensystem Planmed Nuance Excel erteilt. Das Planmed Nuance Excel FFDM-System verbindet kurze Untersuchungszeiten mit niedriger Strahlendosis und herausragender Bildqualität.
